Day 4 of SEC Media Days features Mizzou, Kentucky, Arkansas and Texas A&M. Eli Drinkwitz and Mark Stoops were the first 2 coaches up, and the Kentucky coach used a line from the Mizzou coach’s opening statement to get in a joke at the head Tiger’s expense.

Drinkwitz likes to show off his sense of humor and joked that he wouldn’t be addressing any conspiracies while at the podium.

“Just as a reminder, I’m not going to answer any questions about the Epstein files, the Radiation Belt, whether or not it was possible for Lee Harvey Oswald to get three shots off in seven seconds. I will answer questions about Mizzou football,” the MU coach said.

Stoops had some fun with his rival’s joke, showing off his own sense of humor.

“First of all, I know why Coach Drink has a reason to not talk about certain things. So I’ll keep that between myself and him and a few colleagues,” Stoops joked during his turn at the podium.

Mizzou and Kentucky were annual opponents as SEC East teams. Since Drinkwitz arrived at Mizzou in 2020, the teams split the 4 meetings 2-2. The SEC got rid of divisions in football for 2024 and the Tigers and Wildcats did not face each other.
