Matthew Stafford is a 50,000-yard passer, and he’s the fastest NFL quarterback to ever reach the milestone.

Stafford reached 50,000 career passing yards on Tuesday night, playing in his 182nd NFL game. Stafford’s Los Angeles Rams are facing the Seattle Seahawks.

Stafford entered Tuesday with 49,007 regular-season passing yards plus 908 from 3 postseason games with the Detroit Lions. Detroit took Stafford No. 1 overall in the 2009 NFL Draft. He played for the Lions through the 2020 season.

Stafford was traded to the Rams ahead of the 2021 season. Heading into Tuesday, he already had 3,898 passing yards on the year. In the first half against the Seahawks, Stafford was 14-of-20 for 138 yards and an interception. The Rams and Seahawks finished the first half tied 3-3.
