Max Johnson weighs in on Myles Brennan’s injury, how it feels being LSU’s QB1

LSU entered the offseason with a quarterback battle between Myles Brennan and Max Johnson.
However, since Brennan recently suffered an arm injury that required surgery, the job is Johnson’s heading into the 2021 campaign.
After a practice session on Saturday, Johnson spoke with the media. He shared his thoughts on Brennan’s injury, saying he feels bad for his teammate and was looking forward to competing with him:

As for what has changed now that he’s QB1, Brennan said he is going to remain his hard-working, football-loving self:

Johnson finished the 2020 campaign as the Tigers’ starter. He threw for 1,069 yards, 8 touchdowns and only 1 interception.
