UCF QB McKenzie Milton suffered a horrific knee injury on Friday against USF, causing him to be rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.

He’s been recovering ever since, but it seems that everything is going as well as it can be at the moment.

On Tuesday, Milton’s family issued a statement, saying blood flow has been restored to his right leg:

That’s a positive update, but Milton still has a very lengthy rehab process ahead of him. His parents also noted that he still has to have reconstructive surgery at some point.

At least Milton will get to keep his leg, as loss of blood flow is a very serious matter. When and if he’s able to return to a football field, though, has yet to be determined.
