Mike Elko is working hard on filling out his Texas A&M staff as the head coach of the Aggies. On Tuesday, reports surfaced indicating Elko has landed on some key pieces.
According to Matt Zenitz with 247 Sports, A&M is expected to hire OL coach Adam Cushing and CBs coach Ishmael Aristide from Duke. Aristide joined Elko’s Blue Devil staff in January 2022 and was previously on Elko’s defensive staff as an analyst from 2019-20.
Cushing has head coaching experience at Eastern Illinois and joined Elko on the coach’s first Duke staff in 2022. He steps into an offensive staff that Elko is overhauling, including previous OL coach Steve Addazio.

While some key pieces from Duke are expected to follow Elko, it was previously reported that Blue Devils strength and conditioning coach David Feely will not be joining the Aggies. A&M is also expected to hire Sean Spencer for the DL coach position that was vacated by Elijah Robinson taking the Syracuse DC job.
