Mike Leach does not think the turnover at Auburn, and former Mississippi State Athletics Director John Cohen leaving for the same job at Auburn, will play a factor this week.

The teams meet at 6:30 p.m. local time in Starkville.

“The other teams run their plays,” Leach said. “I’m busy thinking about how to address that. So no, I don’t really think it affects a lot.”

Leach on the SEC coaches media teleconference was asked about whether a tiger or a bulldog would win on the African savanna: “I think pretty good. There aren’t any Tigers in Africa, so from that standpoint, I think it would be total Bulldog domination.”

About fake injuries, Leach was asked about the issue and how prevalent it is in college football.

“There’s definitely people who have faked injuries before,” Leach said. “I don’t know why they don’t do it that way. They should have asked me. You can even make it a specific number of plays to keep them out.”
