Washington State head coach Mike Leach is known for being quite active on Twitter.
On Thursday evening, he posted about an apparent rally on Saturday morning near Texas Tech’s Red Raider Stadium.
Apparently Leach still isn’t happy with his former university, insisting that Texas Tech still owes him for his time with the Red Raiders in 2009. He wants that nine-year, past due payment.
“I led the Red Raiders to victory in 2009,” Leach said in a tweet. “Help me get justice from Texas Tech. This weekend, I want my supporters in Lubbock to rally for Justice.”
The tweet includes a photo of Leach holding a sign that says, “#paycoachleach.”
Texas Tech fired Leach for cause in December 2009.
“It alleged he mistreated then-Tech player Adam James by making him stand in darkened rooms during practice while James had a concussion,” a report from the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal said.
Texas Tech hosts Iowa State at noon ET on Saturday, while Washington State hosts Colorado.
