Mike Leach names issue with receiving corps early in fall practices

New Mississippi State coach Mike Leach runs a fast-paced air-raid style offense, so the quarterbacks and receivers need to be on the same page.
Not having spring practices hurt the Bulldogs, and according to Leach, it’s showing a bit during practices, particularly in the receiving corps.
On Saturday, Leach said the consistency with route running has left a lot to be desired thus far in fall camp:
Mike Leach: "We're still a little all over the place in our routes."
He says the wide receivers have a lot of ability, but both the coaches and the players need to work on being more polished and precise.

Also, don’t count on the Bulldogs to use a lot of tight ends under Leach. He addressed not having a tight end on the roster:
Mike Leach on not having any players listed as tight ends on the roster: "They're not wide receivers; they're tighter receivers."
He's excited about guys like Brad Cumbest and Geor'quarius Spivey getting involved in the passing game. He says they are almost un-coverable.

Will the receivers and quarterbacks get on the same page before Week 1? We’ll find out moving forward through fall camp.
