Mike Leach and Mississippi State are preparing to face a different Arkansas quarterback than KJ Jefferson, who has not practiced this week following a head injury last week against Alabama.
Leach doesn’t expect a dramatic difference from previous weeks. With Jefferson possibly unavailable, the Razorbacks could turn to Cade Fortin or Malik Hornsby to fill in.
“They’ll stick with what they do on offense, at least to a large extent. You’re still preparing for the same offense,” Leach said on the SEC coaches media teleconference. “Good players, but again, in the end, I think they’ll do what they do offensively.”
Rara Thomas leads the Bulldogs in receiving with 20 catches for 359 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Leach said, “He’s a tall guy who comes out of his cuts pretty quickly. I think his best football is ahead of him, but he’s made some good plays.”
Last week was a breakout game as he had 5 catches for 134 yards and a touchdown.
