Mike Leach has never been shy when it comes to letting people know his opinion on hot-button issues in the college football world.

As the Bulldogs prepare for the Liberty Bowl this week, Leach spoke with reporters on Monday.

One of the main takeaways from his press conference was that Leach is certainly not a fan of the transfer portal and what it has done to the game:

Whether Leach likes it or not, though, the transfer portal is here to stay. We’ll see if Mississippi State can benefit from it in 2022 and beyond.

For now, though, Leach will turn his attention to the Liberty Bowl against Texas Tech, a school he used to coach.
