Following the news that offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn intends to retire after 35 years of coaching, Florida State has announced its new offensive coordinator. Tim Harris Jr., the co-OC and wide receivers coach, has been announced as the Seminoles’ new OC.

Harris has been with the Seminoles since 2025. He joined the staff as the pass game coordinator and the wide receivers coach. Before FSU, Harris coached at Booker T. Washington High School, FIU, UCF, and Miami.

The Miami native has ties all around Florida.

In his first season with FSU, Harris helped develop an offensive scheme that led the ACC in total offense, rushing offense, third-down offense, and yards per completion. The Seminoles ranked top 15 nationally in all four categories as well.

Harris’ group, the wide receivers, was led by Duce Robinson. Robinson broke 1,000 yards this past season, becoming only the 11th player in FSU program history to do so. He led the ACC in 30- and 40-yard receptions.

Harris brings a lot of hope to a fan base that has seen its team struggle in the past couple of years. After posting back-to-back seasons of 10 or more wins, the Seminoles are a combined 7-17 in the past two seasons.
