Miles Battle started his Ole Miss career as a wide receiver but made the switch to the defensive side of the ball during the 2020 season.
With his 5th season with the Rebels in the books, and with 1 more year of eligibility remaining, Battle appears to be headed away from Oxford. He announced on Thursday on his Twitter account that he would enter the transfer portal:

Battle was a 4-star wide receiver recruit when he signed with Ole Miss out of the class of 2018. He made a pair of catches in 4 games before redshirting his freshman season. In 2019, he made 2 more catches for 20 yards in 20 games.
With Lane Kiffin taking the reins of the Rebels program in 2020, Battle began the 2020 campaign in his normal WR role, but would switch to cornerback after 5 games, ultimately being credited with 6 tackles and 6 passes defensed.
During his first full season on defense in 2021, he recorded an interception, 22 tackles, and 9 PDs. In 2022, he made 33 tackles, defended 5 passes, and added another interception in 12 games.
