Mississippi State could be losing some depth in the secondary.

247Sports is reporting that Bulldogs cornerback Cameron Threatt has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. Threatt is not bound to leave the program, though, MSU is also not bound to keep him on scholarship once he enters the portal. Instances of SEC players withdrawing from the portal and rejoining the team are rare.

A class of 2020 signee, Threatt was a 3-star prospect out of Lewisburg, rated the No. 25 recruit in the state of Mississippi. His recruiting profile shows 13 scholarship offers out of high school, including Kentucky, Missouri and Vanderbilt.

Threatt did not see the field for MSU in 2020.
