The Mississippi State Bulldogs landed K Brandon Ruiz as a transfer from Arizona State, and he took the reins as the kicker in 2020.

He had a lot of success, too, making all 24 of his extra points and going 10-for-12 on field goals, including performances against both LSU and Mizzou in which he accounted for 14 points in each game (5-for-5 on extra points, 3-for-3 on field goals).

As the Bulldogs prepare for the 2021 season, Ruiz took to Twitter to announce he was coming back for his senior year:

Ruiz was one of the top kicking prospects in the 2017 class. He sat out the 2019 season after transferring from Arizona State.

How he fares in 2021 remains to be seen, but it’s a nice boost for Mississippi State’s special teams to get him back for another year.
