Missouri’s depth at linebacker is taking a hit.

That’s the latest out of Columbia as senior Jamal Brooks has announced he plans to leave the program via transfer. Brooks is set to graduate from Missouri this summer.

“It is with an open heart and teary eyes that I have made the decision to graduate this May and with great ambition enter my name into the transfer portal,” Brooks wrote in his statement.

Brooks was listed as a backup linebacker by the end of Mizzou’s 2020 football season. While he didn’t garner many starts during his time in Columbia, he started two games back in 2019, he played in over 40 games during his time in CoMo.

Brooks is a native of Bessemer, Ala.
