The Missouri Tigers are returning to Arrowhead Stadium in 2024 to play Boston College, per a report from Tod Palmer of The Kansas City Star.

The game was originally scheduled as a home game, but new athletic director Jim Sterk confirmed Wednesday the game would be moved to Kansas City. The Tigers will travel to Boston College in 2021 as part of the two-game agreement.

The Tigers previous game at Arrowhead Stadium against BYU in 2015 failed to meet revenue expectations — 42,824 announced attendance. The less-than-expected attendance came after the players threatened to cancel the game during the brief boycott.

Sterk also said he’s had discussions with Illinois’ athletic director Josh Whitman about playing the Illini in St. Louis, but no date has been decided upon. He also previously mentioned that he’s in favor of restarting the Border War against Kansas, but discussions have yet to take place with Kansas AD Sheahon Zenger.
