As expected, Mizzou’s Jontay Porter has declared for the NBA Draft.
The power forward missed his sophomore season in 2018-19 after tearing ligaments in his knee during a preseason scrimmage. Sadly, Porter re-tore his right ACL in Denver about a month ago. Porter was in Denver rehabbing his knee.
As a freshman in 2017-18, Porter averaged 9.9 points per game, and with his help, Mizzou went to its first NCAA Tournament in five years.
Sadly, this past season likely would have been a strong one for Porter. He’s largely projected as a mid-to-late first-round pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.
