Mizzou defensive coordinator Blake Baker could be adding a familiar face to his unit. A former Miami defensive back is reportedly expected to exit the transfer portal by transferring to MU.
Matt Zenitz of On3 reports that Marcus Clarke is currently on campus in Columbia and is expected to join the Tigers.

Clarke entered the portal on Aug. 19, well past the NCAA’s May 1 deadline for undergrads to play the fall season under the one-time transfer rule without a waiver. Clarke told Adam Lichtenstein of the Sun Sentinel that he transferred due to a lack of playing time with Miami’s new staff:
“It was lack of reps; things weren’t really working out at the new program,” Clarke told the Sun Sentinel. “I just wish the best for the guys that are there, working their butts off. I just needed a fresh, new start in a new place to find that.”
Clarke, out of Winter Park (Florida), joined the Canes in 2020. Baker was UM’s defensive coordinator for Clarke’s recruitment and freshman season (2019-20).
Clarke played in 18 games at Miami, making 4 starts last season. His career numbers include 29 tackles, 4 passes defended and 2 interceptions.
