Mizzou reveals 2 freshmen have earned their jersey numbers

During fall camp, Mizzou freshmen have to earn their jersey numbers.
On Tuesday, after a practice session, it was revealed that a pair of Tiger freshmen had done just that and now have their numbers for the 2021 season.
Per Mizzou insider Dave Matter, DT Mekhi Wingo will wear the No. 58 jersey this fall, while walk-on WR Logan Muckey will wear No. 46:

Wingo was a 3-star defensive lineman in the class of 2021 out of the St. Louis area. Muckey was a walk-on from the Lee’s Summit area near Kansas City.
There’s still plenty of time before the Tigers’ Week 1 matchup against Central Michigan, so some of the other freshmen should be earning their numbers soon.
