Mizzou is trying to build its first roster of the Dennis Gates era, and the Tigers are heavily recruiting the transfer portal.

On Wednesday, it was reported that a 3-point specialist from The Citadel was still considering the Tigers.

Per The Portal Report, Jason Roche is down to his top 5 schools, with Mizzou included. The Tigers will compete with Rice, Pitt, St. Bonaventure and Kansas State for Roche’s services in 2022-23:

Roche appeared in 31 games, starting 30 of them. He averaged 13.2 points and 4 rebounds per night, shooting 39.7% from 3-point range and 90.9% from the free-throw line.

He made 110 3s last season. Mizzou as a team made 171. It seems Gates is working to turn that around in 2022-23.
