The LSU Tigers entered this offseason with a quarterback competition between Myles Brennan and Max Johnson.
Brennan started last year before getting hurt and needing the rest of the year to heal up. Now, he’s dealing with another setback.
Per a release from LSU, Brennan has suffered a left arm injury and will need surgery. Per the tweet below, no timeline has been set for his return:

“Myles Brennan suffered a severe injury that will require surgery,” coach Ed Orgeron said. “His timeline is yet to be determined. Myles has done everything we have asked of him this summer and was in the fight to be the starting quarterback at LSU.”
In 3 starts in 2020, Brennan threw for 1,112 yards, 11 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. We’ll see if he’s able to return before Week 1. The good news seems to be that the injury was to Brennan’s non-throwing arm.
