Myles Garrett has been one of the NFL’s most feared defensive players since entering the league out of Texas A&M as the No. 1 overall pick in 2017.

Garrett, on Sunday, set a new milestone in the first quarter of the Cleveland Browns’ Week 7 game against the New England Patriots in Foxborough while passing an NFL legend in the process. He sacked Drake Maye in the first quarter, as you can see below:

That gave Garrett 108.5 sacks for his career. That’s a record for sacks by a player before his 30th birthday, passing the mark of 108.8 set by Hall of Famer Reggie White.

After recording 7.0 sacks as a rookie in 2017, Garrett has posted double-digit sacks in seven straight seasons. That includes 16.0 sacks in both 2021 and 2022, best in the league in that category in both seasons. In 2024, he got to the quarterback 14.0 times, matching his total from 2025.

Coming into Sunday, Garrett had 5.0 sacks. So he’s well on track to make it eight seasons in a row with double digits.

And with Halloween just around the corner, we’re sure to see Drake Maye’s name in Garrett’s infamous quarterback graveyard.
