Decommit season continues to roll on in the college football recruiting world with the Early Signing Period set to begin on Wednesday.

The latest elite prospect in the 2021 recruiting cycle to change his commit is Nathaniel Wiggins as the four-star defensive back has flipped his commitment from LSU to Clemson.

Rivals was the first outlet to report this news.

Wiggins, a standout defensive back from Westlake High School in Atlanta, is rated as the No. 7 cornerback and the No. 13 overall prospect from Georgia in the 2021 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Wiggins is also a top 150 prospect and was selected to play in the 2021 All-American Bowl before that game was canceled.

Here is what Wiggins had to say about his decision to flip his commitment from LSU to Clemson:

“I just committed to Clemson,” Wiggins said to Chad Simmons of Rivals. “LSU just wasn’t in my heart anymore,” said Wiggins. “Clemson develops players, it has a good coaching staff, it is close to home, and that is where I feel best at.”

Following this news, LSU has 19 total commitments in the 2021 recruiting cycle. The class currently ranks in the top five nationally.
