The No. 1 linebacker in the nation will announce his commitment this week, and a couple of SEC schools are among his favorites.
Lyndell Wilson, a five-star linebacker from Carver High School in Montgomery, Ala., plans to release his top five on Tuesday. Then on Friday, he will announce which team he is committing to.

The 6-foot-1, 235-pound Wilson is the nation’s top linebacker recruit, according to 247Sports.
He has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Clemson, Michigan, Oregon, UCLA and USC, among others.
Florida and Alabama are believed to be his two favorites. One of his teammates and closest friends, three-star cornerback Antonio Nelson, committed to the Gators last week.
