Mother of nation’s top WR recruit starts petition to overturn NCAA ruling

Published:
As the top wide receiver in the 2017 recruiting class, five-star prospect Donovan Peoples-Jones is drawing enough attention to himself as it is.
But Peoples-Jones may receive even more attention now thanks to the actions of his mother, Rozlyn Peoples.
She has started a change.org petition in hopes of overturning the NCAA’s decision to ban satellite camps.
Peoples makes her case to have others join her in signing the petition, which needs 5,000 signatures before being sent to NCAA’s Mark Emmert, among others:
As a Single Parent/Mother of a high school student at Detroit Cass Tech (Donovan People-Jones) here in the City of Detroit I am initiating this Petition on behalf of all students and parents around the country and even Canada. If you can relate to the struggles of being a parent and encouraging your child to do all they can to prepare for college scholarship opportunities, or if you know the importance of using athletics as a way for high school students to earn a college scholarship please please read the message below explaining what is happening to our youth.
It will be interesting to see how much traction she gets on this effort, and if her outward push back against the NCAA does anything to change the recruitment of her son.
