The Arkansas Razorbacks can focus their search for a new head coach after naming a new athletic director on Monday.

It was reported on Monday that Houston AD Hunter Yurachek was stepping down in order to take the same position at Arkansas. The university would go on to confirm the move with an announcement.

Yurachek has not had much time to settle into his new role, but the search for a new head coach to replace Bret Bielema will proceed with Yurachek at the helm. It will be interesting to see where the Razorbacks turn their attention, but Pete Thamel with Yahoo! Sports listed four names he believes will be on Yurachek’s radar.

According to Thamel, SMU’s Chad Morris and Memphis’ Mike Norvell are two coaches he believes will be in the mix for the job. He also mentioned West Virginia’s Dana Holgorsen and Washington State’s Mike Leach as names to watch as the search progresses.

It still is wide open as to who Arkansas will hire for the vacancy, but at least the school has an AD in place as the search continues.
