One of the most talented players to get caught up in Florida’s credit card fraud scheme last year was talented-but-troubled WR Antonio Callaway.
The star receiver missed the whole 2017 season and is now going to turn pro instead of return to the Gators.
As Callaway prepares for an NFL career, he’s caught the eye of one NFL scout, as NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah tweeted that he sees some similarities to former Florida WR Percy Harvin:
Just studied Florida WR/PR Antonio Callaway– obviously has several off field issues to sort out but he's incredibly talented. Reminds me of Percy Harvin coming out of college. He's explosive, elusive and instinctive.

Obviously, Harvin’s college stats were leaps and bounds ahead of Callaway’s as Harvin had 3,781 scrimmage yards and 32 touchdowns. Callaway, on the other hand, had only 1,450 scrimmage yards and eight scores in two seasons.
However, Callaway can be an impact player in the NFL if he gets his personal life sorted out. But, based on his troubled tenure at Florida, he might have to wait a while to hear his name called at the 2018 NFL Draft.
