The 2015 NFL Combine was in full swing on Day 2 Wednesday, as the initial group of the week — including offensive linemen, tight ends and specialists — met with the media and select teams in addition to undergoing their measurements for the week.
(NOTE: A table containing each SEC alum’s combine measurements can be found at the bottom of this story)
The most popular SEC alum on Day 2 of the combine was LSU offensive tackle La’El Collins, who NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock spoke highly of at the start of the week.

Collins set up meetings with a number of NFL teams according to various reports, including the Browns, Chargers, Rams and Chiefs, among others. There were also murmurs that Collins might be moved from tackle to guard depending on which team selects him in April’s draft.

And, of course, Collins’ name brings about plenty of buzz in the aftermath of what some of his former LSU teammates have already achieved in their young NFL careers.

Touted South Carolina offensive guard A.J. Cann also spoke to the media and hinted that he understands the importance of versatility when aiming to make the leap from college to the NFL.

Sticking with South Carolina, according to a report from Rotoworld, former Gamecocks tight end Rory “Busta” Anderson won’t work out at this week’s combine due to a triceps injury.
Anderson is one of three SEC tight ends at this week’s combine; the other two are Texas A&M’s Cameron Clear (5 catches for 34 yards in 2014) and Arkansas’ A.J. Derby (22 catches for 303 yards and 3 touchdowns in 2014).
Former Texas A&M offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi is still recovering from an ACL tear suffered in the Aggies Liberty Bowl victory, but he was able to undergo measurements on Wednesday and was found to have the some of the longest arms of any offensive tackle prospect.

Florida offensive tackle D.J. Humphries admitted to the media Wednesday that he was advised to return to school. He obviously did not take that advice, and added that it motivates him to know many don’t think he’s NFL ready.

Humphries weighed in at 307 pounds, much higher than many expected. Instead it was Auburn’s four-year starting center, Reese Dismukes, who came in a bit underweight.

Even Florida punter Kyle Christy grabbed headlines on Wednesday as news circulated that he’s been working with former Florida place kicker and current Dolphins kicker Caleb Sturgis in preparation for the combine, which is being held 20 minutes from Christy’s Indiana hometown.
And not to be overlooked, but Texas A&M kicker Josh Lambo has also taken part in a few interviews with teams as one of the premier place kicking prospects in the draft class. Among the teams he met with were the Detroit Lions, who changed kickers multiple times during their playoff run in 2014.
Texas A&M K Josh Lambo, who was born in Lansing, said he met with most teams informally last night, including the Lions.
