Twelve SEC programs have had at least one player selected in the 2019 NFL Draft through three rounds; that leaves two programs that haven’t: Arkansas and Tennessee.

What round will it end for the Hogs and Vols?

Arkansas has six players on the NFL big board. LB Dre Greenlaw, OL Hjalte Froholdt, DT Armon Watts and CB Ryan Pulley all participated in the NFL Combine. Froholdt, Greenlaw and Watts are the three to watch as we enter the final day of the draft.

Tennessee, on the other hand, may not be so lucky. That’s a testament to just how bad Butch Jones left the program. Former Vols RB turned Baylor WR Jalen Hurd was even drafted in the third round. That tells one all he/she needs to know. The three to watch Saturday are DL Kyle Phillips, DT Shy Tuttle and LB Quart’e Sapp. At least one of the three should get drafted.

Entering the final day (rounds 4-7), Alabama leads the SEC with five draft picks thus far. Mississippi State and Ole Miss are both tied for second with four each.

Here’s a breakdown:

  • Alabama: 5
  • Miss State: 4
  • Ole Miss: 4
  • Kentucky: 3
  • Georgia: 2
  • LSU: 2
  • Florida: 2
  • Texas A&M: 2
  • Auburn: 1
  • Mizzou: 1
  • South Carolina: 1
  • Vanderbilt: 1
