With free agency underway, NFL teams are making roster moves ahead of next month’s draft. On Wednesday, the Detroit Lions announced that they have signed a pair of former SEC standouts.
Former Florida linebacker Alex Anzalone is heading to the Motor City after spending his first four seasons with the New Orleans Saints. The Lions also signed former Texas A&M wide receiver Damion Ratley, who has bounced around the league in three seasons. He joins the club after playing in five games for the New York Giants in 2020, before ending the season with the Houston Texans. He originally entered the NFL with the Cleveland Browns as a sixth-round selection (No. 175 overall) in the 2018 Draft. He has appeared in 31 career games (6) starts and has recorded 29 receptions, 407 receiving yards and a touchdown.
