LSU WR Ja’Marr Chase may not have played in 2020, but he was a star in 2019, winning the Biletnikoff Award as LSU went undefeated and won a national championship.
Now, he figures to be one of the first, if not the first, wide receiver off the board in the 2021 NFL Draft.
So, why is he such a highly-touted prospect? NFL Network analyst Nate Burleson broke down which attributes from other elite wide receivers compare to Chase’s skill set:

Here are the comps Burleson made for Chase:
- Body: Steve Smith Sr.
- Arms and hands: Davante Adams
- Legs: JuJu Smith-Schuster
- Feet: Torry Holt
Those are some lofty comparisons. Can Chase live up to them? We’ll find out starting this fall.
