Nick Chubb is officially good to go. The Cleveland Browns announced Saturday that they have activated Chubb for Sunday’s game. He will be on the 53-man roster with no injury designation.

Chubb, a former Georgia standout, last played in an NFL game on Sept. 18, 2023. He suffered a serious knee injury that required multiple surgeries to repair torn ligaments, including his ACL.

The Browns had Chubb on the PUP list (physically unable to perform) to being the 2024 season. The team opened his practice window in late September.

Chubb, 28, is in Year 7 of his pro career. He was selected No. 35 overall in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Browns. Chubb is a 4-time Pro Bowl selection (2019-22) and received second-team All-Pro recognition in 2022.

Chubb recorded over 1,000 rushing yards in each of his 4 Pro Bowl seasons. In 2022, he posted career-highs of 302 carries and 1,525 rushing yards. Chubb also scored 12 rushing touchdowns in ’22, tying his career-high from 2020.

Before the injury, Chubb was off to a strong start in 2023 with 28 carries for 170 yards, averaging a career-high 6.1 yards per carry.

The Browns host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. Without Chubb, the Browns have rushed for 583 yards as a team in 6 games. Jerome Ford has led the way with 50 carries for 264 yards.
