Georgia running back Nick Chubb has officially passed Bo Jackson for fourth place on the SEC’s all-time career rushing chart.
He did so, ironically, in Saturday’s game against No. 10 Auburn.
Chubb, who has been at Georgia since the 2014 season, had 4,305 career rushing yards at the time of this post on Saturday afternoon. Jackson, the former Auburn star and Heisman Trophy winner, set a mark of 4,303 career rushing yards.
Former UGA running back Herschel Walker, Darren McFadden (Arkansas) and Kevin Faulk (LSU) are still ahead of Chubb on the career rushing chart. Chubb could very well move to the No. 2 spot by season’s end, but it’s going to be difficult for him to pass the legendary Walker, who had 5,259 rushing yards during his time at UGA.
The nation’s top-ranked ‘Dawgs were leading the Tigers 7-6 at the end of the first quarter from Jordan-Hare Stadium.
