It’s been an emotionally and physically taxing and draining year in college football. As if SEC football wasn’t tough enough, players and coaches have had to manage the uncertainty of the season from week to week.
Alabama handled it with ease, too, as the Tide finished 11-0 after beating Florida 52-46 in the SEC Championship Game.
During the SEC Championship Trophy presentation, Nick Saban made sure to pay the ultimate credit to his players when asked if this championship is the best.
“This is the best,” Saban said smiling. “This is the absolute best, because I absolutely love this team. I love all of the adversity that they had to overcome and resiliency that they went through to be able to do this. I appreciate it. Thank you.”
Saban has now won 9 SEC Championships during his career and for him to say that this is the best is quite the statement.
