Alabama finds itself in an unusual spot heading into halftime of the National Championship Game as the Crimson Tide are down at half 13-0 to Georgia after being dominated on the offensive side of the ball.

The Tide have only 95 yards of total offense and only 21 yards passing thus far in the first half. Sophomore Jalen Hurts is three of eight passing. The rushing attack is working a bit better, the Tide have 73 yards on 16 carries for a 4.6 yard per carry average.

As you could imagine, Nick Saban wasn’t pleased heading to the locker room for halftime.

“We haven’t been able to throw it effectively at all so… and I don’t think it’s all just the quarterback,” Saban said. “I think it’s the whole group. We have to get open, we have to protect better.

“Defensively we are making too many mistakes, especially on third down when we have a chance to get off the field. Had plenty of chances to stay in the ball game and get things fixed at halftime.”
