Nick Saban can be hard on journalists. He sometimes uses the media to go on rants that are aimed at his team, sending a message.
But, as Saban gets older, he’s also showing more of his relatable, softer side. He jokes with players, and he clearly has a soft spot for family.
As you can see below, during Wednesday’s Zoom press conference, reporter Aaron Suttles was on “dad duty,” holding his young son while asking Saban a question. That led to this adorable exchange:

“This is the best behavior I’ve seen you on since I’ve been here,” Saban jokes. When Suttles apologizes, Saban continued. “No, you don’t have to apologize. If this is the way it’s going to be, I’d like for him to be there all the time.”
We’ll see if Suttles’ son makes anymore appearances at press conferences. Perhaps his first words will be a question for the Alabama coach.
