On Monday, Nick Saban offered an update on starting right guard Alphonse Taylor.

The 6-foot-5, 345-pound senior did not feature this past weekend versus Tennessee. He had suffered a concussion against Arkansas and was not cleared for contact prior to the win in Knoxville.

Per AL.com, Saban spoke about Taylor’s potential availability in the massive clash this weekend versus No. 6 Texas A&M:

“He’s day-to-day. We’ll continue to evaluate his circumstance and situation and always have the player’s safety in mind as to when the medical staff makes a decision and he’s cleared to be able to practice and play. He’s going to do some individual stuff today but no contact.”

With A&M possessing some talented playmakers in the middle of its defense (namely Daylon Mack and Zaycoven Henderson), getting Taylor back would be huge.
