Nick Saban will be tasked with getting his Alabama players back in the win column as they travel to face South Florida on Saturday.
The big question is how the Crimson Tide will respond after losing to Texas at Bryant-Denny Stadium during Week 2. They’ve traditionally responded well, but their margin for error is gone if they are to ultimately find themselves in the College Football Playoff.
Saban, during his “Hey Coach” radio show on Thursday, recalled the loss to the Longhorns, and the learning experience that it provided his team.
“There’s a lot of things that came out of that game that are great lessons for us that if you’re going to be a dominant team and a dominant program, that can’t happen. You gotta be the more physical team, you gotta win the fourth quarter.”
The Tide will be under close watch nationally as they look to not just get back to winning ways, but remain there all the way to the end of the season. Kickoff against South Florida at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
