The Alabama Crimson Tide have been dominant this year, but on Saturday against Ole Miss, they did get some bad news.

RB Jase McClellan suffered an injury to his knee, and it seems it was a serious one.

During his Monday press conference, coach Nick Saban said he expects McClellan to be out for the rest of the 2021 season. He added that the running back would have surgery on Tuesday:

So far this season, McClellan had 40 carries for 191 yards and 1 touchdown. He also had 10 catches for 97 yards and 3 touchdowns.

For now, Brian Robinson Jr. is the featured back for Alabama. Trey Sanders and others are going to have to step up behind him in the absence of McClellan.
