Alabama coach Nick Saban spoke with the media Monday at a Peach Bowl introductory press conference.
Obviously, the hot topic of the day was offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin, who accepted the head coaching position at FAU earlier on Monday morning.
Saban spoke very highly of his assistant, saying he was happy Kiffin was chosen for the job and confirming that he’ll stay on as Alabama’s coordinator through the end of the team’s College Football Playoff run:
Saban on Kiffin: "This is a wonderful opportunity for him. He's done a great job here … And will stay here through the playoffs."

Saban, Kiffin and the Crimson Tide are busy preparing to face Washington in the Peach Bowl on New Year’s Eve. If they win that game, they’ll move on to the national championship game, looking to win back-to-back titles.
