SEC releases statement on scary injury to MSU’s Nick Weatherspoon after play wasn’t stopped

Mississippi State’s Nick Weatherspoon was carted off the floor after suffering a scary injury in Friday night’s game against Tennessee.
Weatherspoon went down after driving to the basket and continued to stay down on the floor. Tennessee rebounded the ball. Weatherspoon’s brother, Quinndary, landed on his brother under the basket while attempting a layup after coming up with a loose ball.
Amazingly, play was never stopped as Weatherspoon laid on the ground, and many were criticizing the officials for the no-call.
