Notre Dame beat out Michigan and others for a pledge from 4-star Class of 2026 running back Javian Osborne Saturday night.

The Forney, Texas native is a bowling ball, standing at 5-10, 200 pounds with a “violent” run style according to 247Sports’ Gabe Brooks. He attends Forney High School – which is east of Dallas – and is considered to be the No. 130 prospect in the country, the No. 10 overall running back and the No. 18 high school player out of the Lone Star State.

Here’s a quick look at what the Fighting Irish are getting in Osborne:

The rich continue to get richer when it comes to Notre Dame recruiting. The Irish, already possessing the No. 2 overall recruiting class according to 247Sports, just added their 2nd highest rated prospect in the cycle. Osborne is ranked higher than Irish pledge except high-4-star Edge Rodney Dunham, who committed to Notre Dame in mid-April.

Notre Dame is fresh off another trip to the College Football Playoff, and looks to be an early contender to win the title in 2026. According to some of the top sports betting apps such as DraftKings, Notre Dame sits at +1400 to win the CFP next season, the 7th best odds in the country.
