Oklahoma adds commitment from 4-star safety out of Texas

Jaydan Hardy, a Class of 2024 safety, committed to Oklahoma Saturday, picking the Sooners over Texas A&M and Tennessee, among others.

Hardy, a 5-11 prospect from Lewisville, Texas, is the son of former Tennessee linebacker Darryl Hardy. He made his commitment to the Sooners Saturday via Twitter:

Hardy is considered to be the No. 162 prospect in the nation according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He’s also considered to be the No. 14 safety and the No. 29 prospect out of the Lone Star State.

Hardy is now Oklahoma’s highest-rated commit in the 2024 cycle, overtaking 4-star CB Jeremiah Newcombe. he and Newcombe make up the entirety of Oklahoma’s DB commits in the 2024 class as well.
