Ole Miss ahead of Mississippi State?
According to the computers, the one-loss Rebels are better than the Bulldogs thanks to a heavy emphasis on strength of schedule and how each team will finish this season.
Jeff Sagarin’s latest rankings features five SEC teams in the Top 5 and another — LSU — in the No. 9 slot. The objective Sagarin ratings were one of six computer-based formulas used to rank teams during the BCS era.
