Ole Miss announces sellout of home SEC games for 2024 season

Ole Miss enters the 2024 college football season with high expectations. Rebels fans have bought up all available tickets for every SEC game in Oxford.
The program announced Tuesday that all home SEC games are officially sold out.

Ole Miss opens the season with four nonconference games. The No. 6 Rebels host Furman on Saturday, a game with a 7 p.m. ET kickoff to be streamed on ESPN+ and SEC Network+. Lane Kiffin’s team has another home contest in Week 2, when Middle Tennessee comes to Vaught-Hemmingway Stadium. Lane Kiffin’s squad plays its first Power opponent in Week 3, a road trip to North Carolina to face Wake Forest. The Rebels are back home in Week 4 for a final tuneup against Georgia Southern before SEC play begins.
Ole Miss will play all eight games in a row, starting with Kentucky on Sept. 28. The conference home opener has received a noon ET kickoff designation, with a TV assignment to come.
The Rebels’ home SEC slate also includes Oklahoma (Oct. 26) and Georgia (Nov. 9) before wrapping up with the Egg Bowl on Friday, Nov. 29. Conference road games include South Carolina (Oct. 5), LSU (Oct. 12), Arkansas (Nov. 2) and Florida (Nov. 23).
Last season, Ole Miss went 10-2 in regular-season play, falling only to Alabama and Georgia, before picking up a New Year’s Six bowl win over Penn State to finish 11-2. DraftKings Sportsbook has set the over/under for Ole Miss’ regular-season win total in 2024 at 9.5 victories. The over is priced at -125 ($125 wager to win $100, producing a $225 payout) with the under at +105 ($100 wager potentially wins $105 for $205 payout).
Game-by-game projections from ESPN’s Football Power Index have the Rebels favored in 9 contests. The FPI, though, is projecting an 8-4 finish (7.9-4.2).
Kiffin presumably welcomes the FPI projections, helping balance out all the rat poison hyping the Rebels to make the College Football Playoff.
