Ole Miss defense drawing concern in midst of dogfight against LSU

Ole Miss is locked in a close game at LSU on Saturday, leading 20-17 at halftime in Death Valley.

Moving the ball on offense hasn’t been a problem for Lane Kiffin’s team. It’s stopping LSU that’s posed a problem. While the Rebels’ defense showed signs of improvement earlier in the season, it’s appeared to regress, giving up 34 points and 330 rushing yards to Auburn a week ago and now letting Jayden Daniels get comfortable in the pocket.

Daniels has totaled 164 yards passing and 1 touchdown in the 1st half. LSU has recorded 98 yards rushing.

While the Rebels came up with a key defensive play late in the 2nd quarter, they’ll need to be more consistent if they want to leave Baton Rouge with a victory and maintain their perfect season.
