Ole Miss defense drawing concern in midst of dogfight against LSU

Ole Miss is locked in a close game at LSU on Saturday, leading 20-17 at halftime in Death Valley.
Moving the ball on offense hasn’t been a problem for Lane Kiffin’s team. It’s stopping LSU that’s posed a problem. While the Rebels’ defense showed signs of improvement earlier in the season, it’s appeared to regress, giving up 34 points and 330 rushing yards to Auburn a week ago and now letting Jayden Daniels get comfortable in the pocket.
Daniels has totaled 164 yards passing and 1 touchdown in the 1st half. LSU has recorded 98 yards rushing.
While the Rebels came up with a key defensive play late in the 2nd quarter, they’ll need to be more consistent if they want to leave Baton Rouge with a victory and maintain their perfect season.
Here’s the reaction from social media about the Rebels’ defensive performance thus far:
If Ole Miss can't defend the pass any better than that, I'm not sure why they're only rushing three.
Just bring the house.
LSU is just slicing through the Ole Miss defense.#OleMiss
