Ole Miss picked up an impressive football commitment on Wednesday afternoon.
Cornerback JaKorey Hawkins, a 5-foot-11, 187-pound prospect in the class of 2018, committed to the Rebels via Twitter.
Hawkins, who is a 3-star prospect out of Montgomery, Ala. (Robert E. Lee High School), is rated as the nation’s No. 67 corner, according to the 247Sports Composite.
He had an impressive offer list of schools, including but not limited to Auburn, Penn State and South Carolina, in addition to the one he received from the Rebels and interim head coach Matt Luke.
Hawkins, who was offered by Ole Miss on April 26, issued the following post on Wednesday afternoon, announcing his commitment:
