Ole Miss is revamping its roster ahead of the 2022-23 season under coach Kermit Davis after a disappointing, injury-plagued 2021-22 campaign.
On Monday, the Rebels scored a big win in the transfer portal, landing a commitment from Louisiana transfer big man Theo Akwuba.
As you can see below, the former Ragin’ Cajun took to Twitter to announce his decision, choosing Ole Miss over Iowa:

Akwuba appeared in 25 games for Louisiana during the 2021-22 season, making 18 starts. He averaged 9.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2 blocks per contest.
What sort of role will he carve out for himself in Oxford? We’ll find out starting this fall. Ole Miss has a need for a big man this coming season.
