Ole Miss lineman Micah Pettus was on the receiving end of one of the lowlights of the Texas A&M game, but he indicated to fans that there’s nothing to worry about in a postgame social media post.

Texas A&M defender Shemar Turner was ejected for a hit below the belt on Pettus during Saturday’s back-and-forth division battle.

Pettus took to social media after Ole Miss’ win. He relayed that he was properly protected when it came to the hit in the sensitive area.

Pettus is in his 3rd year at Ole Miss. He played in all 13 games last season, making 9 starts at right tackle. Ahead of the 2023 campaign, Pettus received Preseason All-American and All-SEC recognition from various outlets, also making the Outland Trophy watchlist.

Pettus and the Ole Miss line helped the Rebels gain over 500 yards of offense on the Aggies. Quarterback Jaxson Dart was sacked just once as he threw for 387 yards and 2 touchdowns in the 38-35 victory.
