LSU’s upset of third-ranked Ole Miss over the weekend was ESPN’s most-viewed game of the season, according to MediaZone.

The Tigers and Rebels’ showdown under the lights in Death Valley averaged 4.9 million viewers, nearly half of the average number of viewers for Sunday’s Game 5 of the World Series. Through five games, the Giants and Royals have averaged a record-low 7.2 rating and 12.1 million viewers on FOX according to SportsMediaWatch.

The WatchESPN app live from Baton Rouge ‘generated the product’s fourth-largest average minute audience for a regular-season game ever’ with 62,600 viewers.
